The Big Brothers Big Sisters Donation Center is a 501 c 3 not-for-profit corporation working in conjunction with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. The Donation Center solicits used, re-saleable clothing and small household items from the community, which are then sold to our retail partner, Savers.
Funds from the sales of donations to Savers pay the cost of our call center and route trucks. Excess funds contribute to approximately one-third of our annual budget. The BBBS Donation Center serves most of the greater Kansas City area, including Johnson, Jackson, Platte, Wyandotte, and Clay counties.

Guidelines:
- Place your donation - visible from the street - on curb, driveway or front steps by 7 a.m.
- Make sure items are in bags or boxes with no hangers.
- Label them with BBBS (Big Brothers Big Sisters).
- The driver will pick up your goods before 7 p.m.
- Place an "R" on the label if you would like a tax-deductible receipt.
- Remember: We only pick up items that can be lifted by one person.
Acceptable Items:
- Clothing - jackets, shoes/boots
- Electronics - radios, CDs, tapes, records
- Household items - area rugs, pots/pans, small appliances, bed sheets/comforters,
pillows (No mattresses)
- Toys, books, knickknacks
- Jewelry
Unacceptable items:
- Major appliances: refrigerators, washers/dryers, stoves, dishwashers
- Cribs, walkers, playpens, car seats manufactured after 1986, swing sets
- Waterbeds, mattresses/box springs
- Heavy equipment, construction items, tires
- Paint/chemicals, food
- Large or Heavy Furniture
