BBBSKC awards over $10,000 in scholarships to KC Littles

7 Littles will receive a total of $13,000 in scholarships.

BBBSKC announced today that the agency’s Board of Ambassadors will award $13,000 in scholarships for the 2020-21 school year!

The Ambassadors of Potential Scholarship Program, now in its second year, is administered and funded by the BBBSKC Board of Ambassadors. To be eligible, students must:

  • Be enrolled in the BBBSKC program

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the BBBSKC program

  • Be a senior in high school, currently enrolled in higher education, or seeking to re-enroll in higher education

The BBBSKC Board of Ambassadors is made up of previous members of the BBBSKC Board of Directors that want to stay engaged with BBBS after their term is complete.

"It is incredibly rewarding and uplifting to hear about these amazing youth right here in our community,” said Jennifer Matney, member of the Board of Ambassadors. “It is always an honor to be a part of the selection committee and learn more about these incredibly ambitious students. These scholarships are just one more way that BBBSKC is working to clear the path to the biggest possible future for Littles in KC.”
