Kansas City, Mo. — (September 2, 2021) Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City (BBBSKC) is proud to announce a new partnership with L’Jarius Sneed, cornerback and #38 for the Kansas City Chiefs. “Turn the Corner with L’Jarius Sneed,” presented by Adams Cable Equipment, is a brand-new city-wide fundraising and recruitment effort to make an impact on our community through football. “The children of Kansas City are our future,” said Sneed. “They’re the next generation of game-changers, trail blazers, and difference makers. I’m proud to support an organization that is empowering and defending the potential of children in Kansas City.”
Turn the Corner launches today, September 2, at TurnTheCornerKC.org. Community members can join BBBSKC and L’Jarius Sneed for #TurnTheCornerKC by pledging to donate for every turnover the Chiefs create this season, or by signing up to become a Big. Donors can pledge any amount per turnover — $1, $3.80, $13.80, or more! Donors will also receive signed Chiefs gear based on their donation level:
- Pledges of $3.80 or more per turnover will receive a signed 8×10 photo
- Pledges of $13.80 or more per turnover receive a signed Chiefs mini helmet
- Pledges of $38 or more per turnover receive a signed replica L’Jarius Sneed Chiefs jersey.
- $100 per turnover or more will receive two tickets to L’Jarius Sneed Chalk Talk and Dinner, photo opportunity with L’Jarius and signed L’Jarius Sneed Chiefs jersey and Chiefs helmet.

Sneed has set a goal to raise $25,000 this season for Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City. Funds raised from the campaign will stay right here in Kansas City to help match more children with a Big Brother, Big Sister, or Big Couple.
Dreambuilders Fund
This fall, Sneed is also launching the L’Jarius Sneed Dreambuilders Fund to help make more dreams come true for kids in Kansas City. Whether it’s sports equipment, music instruments, or a prom dress or tuxedo, a financial need can often keep kids from doing the things they love most. The L’Jarius Sneed Dreambuilders Fund provides funds to help remove these financial barriers and open doors for children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Through the program, Littles and families will be able to directly request access to funds through BBBSKC to help cover the costs for items like new shoes, sports camp fees, and more.
