What is the Big Impact Group (B.I.G.)?
Originally created in 2009, the Big Impact Group (B.I.G) was created to get young professionals in Kansas City involved with expanding awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. Along with creating awareness, B.I.G. is responsible for recruiting volunteer mentors, helping at events, and raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The group is run by B.IG. Leadership Team who serves a two-year term. This year’s B.I.G. Leadership consists of:
President: TJ Collins, Partners Specialty Group
Events Committee Chair: Taylor Grossenkemper, encompas
Development Committee Chair: Jaron Ludwig, Sociy
Recruitment Committee Chair: Whitney Dunn, KPMG
Director of Marketing: Amelia Allegri, CommunityAmerica Credit Union
Last year, this incredible group raised over $150,000 for our agency along with recruiting new Bigs into the program. This year, B.I.G. plans on raising the same amount and will help host each rooftop during our RISE- Rooftop Crawl Event on August 26th.
The overall mission of the group is to create an invested, involved group of young professionals who will support, fundraise, and raise awareness of the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City.
Currently, we have 31 active members on the B.IG. and are looking to add a few more members to the mix. If you are interested in joining this group of movers and shakers I would love to meet you!
