Logan and Marquis, Big Brother and Little Brother of the Year

“Logan is a special Big because he does good things for the community. He also helps me and my mom any way that he can. The match has impacted me by giving me someone to talk to about things I can’t tell my mom. Also, he has helped me keep in check my grades and attitude. This match has positively impacted me socially and emotionally. I have improved on being happier and even more outspoken. Logan is a kind-hearted person, who goes out of his way to help other people at stores, his family and my family. Logan understands everything and can teach me things, especially life perspectives. Logan and my mom are constantly talking about how I can best learn responsibility and break bad habits, and with Logan’s help, I’ve done that. Logn encourages me in everything that I do, and gives me the best advice all the time. He says, “Stay ready, so I don’t have to get ready.” That basically means that I need to be ready and prepared to chase my dreams. He has helped me with English and reading because he was an English major, but it’s alright because I get to help him with his math because he’s not that great at math. Logan is someone that I can go to when times get tough and that I can trust. I care about him, and he cares about me and it makes me feel good, happy, and safe.”
