Tom and Cash, Big Brother and Little Brother of the Year
“Cash’s father died when Cash was 5. Cash is now 13. He’s grown up without a male figure in his life. As a mother, my biggest fear is that my son won’t have a great example of how to be a man. Tom goes above and beyond what I expected in the program. He’s kind, patient, consistent, and has a huge heart. Cash looks forward to Tom picking him up every Monday night at 5:30. Tom is the male figure who buffers off home and school issues as they arise. I get more and more excited for what’s to come in what I hope is a lifetime friendship because right now, a 13-year-old boy is terrifying.”
