Littles in the Big Futures program will get a behind-the-scenes look at the many career pathways that help bring major construction projects to life. During this interactive experience, Littles will learn about the Improve I-70 KC project, hear from construction professionals about their career journeys, and explore the wide range of jobs that make large-scale infrastructure projects possible — from project management and engineering to skilled trades, communications, safety, and community outreach.
Littles will also have the chance to ask questions, hear real-world stories from professionals in the field, and gain insight into what a future in construction can look like. Whether a Little is interested in building, problem-solving, leadership, technology, design, or working with their hands, this field trip will introduce them to exciting possibilities in the construction industry.
This experience is designed to help Littles discover new interests, connect with professionals, and see how their skills and passions could lead to a future career.
