Big Brothers Big Sisters KC Presents the “Big Futures Career Fair”

Kansas City, Mo. — (May 6, 2024) — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City is hosting a career fair designed to ignite the aspirations of our youth. This event, tailored for “Littles” in 8th grade and above and will be hosted at Roanoke Community Center on Saturday, May 11th, from 12 pm – 4 pm.

This event will give children an opportunity to learn more about community, educational, and employment opportunities offered in our community. From summer internships to part time jobs, to promising career trajectories, attendees will gain valuable insights and forge connections with industry professionals across various sectors, including healthcare, finance, retail, architecture and design, nonprofit, entrepreneurship, and more.

Among the thirty-plus esteemed companies participating in this event are Lockton, University Health, AMC, Thrivent, Federal Reserve, The Whole Person, Paric, Helix Architecture and Design, Banfield Pet Hospital, United Way, and numerous others. Each organization brings its unique expertise and opportunities, offering our youth a firsthand glimpse into the diverse landscape of career possibilities.
