For more than 25 years, James Engle Custom Homes has been committed to building not only high-quality homes but also a stronger Kansas City community. This year, that commitment reached new heights with the completion of the Builders of Potential Home—a stunning custom-built residence in Fairway, KS, designed to support the life-changing work of Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City.

A Home with a Purpose

What began as an ambitious idea in May 2024 has now become a reality. James Engle Custom Homes pledged that proceeds from the sale of this home would go directly to BBBSKC, helping match more kids with positive adult mentors. Thanks to this initiative, $100,000 was raised!

The stunning, custom-built residence nestled in the “Golden Triangle” of Fairway, KS.  The home is surrounded by a canopy of trees with a location that shines as one of the metro’s most desirable.  It is situated just a short distance from high-end and convenience shopping, downtown, country clubs, schools and churches.  This home is James Engle Custom Homes’s largest single donation to date.

“Over the past couple of years, I’ve been learning more about the work that Big Brothers Big Sisters is doing in the community,” said James Engle, CEO of James Engle Custom Homes.  “I’ve heard some amazing stories of impact and seen the impactful statistics that prove the work they are doing is vital for our community.  Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City is building potential for young people in Kansas City so we in turn would like to build a home that will go directly towards helping more kids experience the power of a mentor.”
