The Voice of Potential is an integral part of the team at BBBSKC. The Voice of Potential is responsible for providing the perspective of a Little and provide strategies and feedback on initiatives of Big Brothers Big Sisters that involve events, fundraising, marketing, recruitment, enrollment, and program. The Voice of Potential is a resource to the staff and boards of BBBSKC. Our Voice of Potential will be offered amazing opportunities, including a paid summer internship/job shadow opportunitty with BBBSKC.

Applications due October 30th

Nominations should include a letter from the Big, Parent/Guardian and the Little. To be considered for the position, Littles should:

  • Be at least 14 years old
  • Be matched with their Big for at least 2 years
  • See the value of the BBBSKC program and can speak favorably on the program.
  • Have excellent public speaking and customer service skills.
  • Be in good academic and behavioral standing at school.
  • Be able to coordinate with their Big or a parent on transportation to and from events (preferred).
  • Be interested and motivated to be the BBBSKC Voice of Potential.
  • Be recommended or nominated by their Big.
  • Be available for a paid 2-week summer internship in July (approximately 20 hours a week).
