Interning at Laya Center
What are your career interests”
“I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with the hope of going to a naturopathic medical school to become a naturopathic doctor.”
What are you hoping to get out of your internship?
“I am hoping to learn more about various healing techniques. I am also very interested in working with individuals with health issues who are looking to enhance their lifestyles.”
What does your Big mean to you?
“My Big is reliable, encouraging, and consistent. She has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and has encouraged me to pursue a career in the medical field.”
BENTLEY
Interning at Perspective Consulting
What are your career interests?
“My career interests are being a musician, an actor, going into Law Enforcement/CSI, and being a therapist.”
What are you hoping to get out of your internship?
“I am hoping to gain knowledge and to learn life lessons that I can use all throughout my life.”
What does your Big mean to you?
“My Big means so much to me. He has taught me a lot of things about life and about myself. I am very grateful for him and I’m glad to have him in my life.”

Interning at Hello Big Idea
What are your career interests?
“My current career interests right now are Nursing and Animal health.”
What are you hoping to get out of your internship?
“How to make connections, how to problem solve, and how a business runs.”
What does your Big mean to you?
“My Big is fun, creative, and compassionate. She helps me explore my creative side and my fun side. She helps me figure out what I want to do and shares her experiences to help me.”

What are your career interests?
“My career interest is in the film and production industry. I want to learn about film and the process of filming a client for a project.”
What are you hoping to get out of your internship?
“To have a new and exciting experience. I get to be around great people every day and learn from professionals in the industry. I think it will be a very valuable learning experience.”

What are your career interests?
“Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Supreme Court Justice”
What are you hoping to get out of your internship?
“I am hoping to learn more about financial literacy and build finance habits that will greatly assist me in the future.”
What does your Big mean to you?
“My Big means three words to me: Maximize Your Potential. I say this because they have always taught to me to be authentic, be rare, and follow my heart. They broke me out of my shell so I could gain more experience trying things outside of the box. I don’t know what I would do without them and how much time and effort they put into me. I turned out great because of them.”

Interning at Fresh Factory KC
What are your career interests?
“My career interest is to own more than one business with both the degrees I’m pursuing. With my Psychology degree after my undergraduate, I want to continue and get a doctorate, become a clinical psychologist, and open a practice. With my business degree, I want to open my practice and a separate purse business.”
What are you hoping to get out of your internship?
“I am hoping to learn what it takes to be a business owner. I hope to learn techniques and information that will help me open my own business and I hope to network and meet new people.”
What does your Big mean to you?
“My Big is truly like a sister to me. She has always been there when I need her. She is always encouraging and proud of everything I accomplish. She is always just a call away whenever I need her. Not only is she my Big Sister, but she is also my friend and there to give me great advice. We have grown to have a great bond and relationship. She will be my Big Sister forever and always.”
